Job Title: Material Handler

**2-4 Week Position (as of now)

Schedule/Pay Information:

• $15.00/hour, working 40 hours per week.
• Day Shift: 5am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday
• Paid weekly – every Friday for the previous pay period, which is Monday through Sunday
• Overtime is after 40 hours and is time and half.

Job Duties:

• Receive raw material in with forklift and enter actual counts into the computer system.
• Maintain material lot control (heat numbers) for traceability.
• Inspect incoming material using Micrometers and other measuring tools. If material does not meet specification ‘red tag” material and schedule disposition.
• Maintain FIFO practice to use oldest material first.
• Responsible for monitoring the production schedule to assure material arrives at machining cell when scheduled.
• Offer ideas on possible improvements in your work area.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in the ERP system to reduce the chance of running out of needed material.
• Load and unload truck with for forklift
• Use overhead cranes after proper training is documented and completed.
• Use production saw to slug bar stock after being properly trained on functions of the Saw.
• Monitor and control cross contamination of all cutting fluids.
• Deliver the scheduled raw material to each machining cells on schedule in order to help with machine utilization.
• Scan and file Material Certifications in the system.
• Keep the different materials separate for recycling to ensure we receive the proper costing.
• Monitor and spin the scheduled chips to remove oil and recycle oil back into system.
• Perform scheduled cycle counts to help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Other duties that may be assigned and trained to.

Job Qualifications/Information:

• Ability to lift 50lbs for the duration of shift.
• Must be able to be on your feet for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
• Associates must provide their own steel toe boots and all other PPE will be provided.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• 3-4 months of steady work history in the last 12 months that shows the ability to complete the above listed qualifications/duties.
