SUMMARY

Responsible for the timely movement and staging of product within and assigned area on a daily basis, monitors all production material storage locations and moves product to next routed location for further processing to meet production requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensures all proper PPE is being worn and safety procedures are being followed, provides leadership with feedback on possible safety issues encountered.

Responsible for monitoring product flow in assigned territory to ensure parts are moving throughout the production area at a pace to meet the production expectations.

Moves product within the assigned location based upon planned schedule to ensure the product is staged for the next operation including staging onto trailers for shipment to warehouse.

Takes direction from Supervisor and Technical Leaders assigned to this area on the movement of product that is being expedited and needs to move differently than the normal processing that is defined.

Empties scrap and cardboard hoppers per proper procedure and removes scrap pallets from production areas.

Delivers new pallets to designated area as required to meet production requirements as defined by area supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and standard operating procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before group of customers or employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unites of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
