Job Title: Material Estimator II

Responsibilities & Duties

• Generate reliable cost estimates that accurately reflect the costs and customer requirements.
• Prepare material cost packages that are statistically correct and can be supported through historical, empirical data and/or estimating theory.
• Organize data and estimates from various functional areas into cohesive, auditable, and consistent cost packages.
• Analyzes material estimates to ensure cohesiveness and consistency with the Proposal Action Plan and/or Requests for Estimate and compiles data into cost packages.
• Develops material cost histories and estimates to support proposal packages, audits, and negotiations.
• Interface with suppliers and Company personnel and customer representatives to support material proposal audits and contract negotiations.
• Review customer request for quote (RFQ,RFP, RFI, etc.) to understand content, feasibility, and requirements with regards to cost, delivery, and customer requirements
• Apply knowledge of industry and military standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to electronics and mechanical assembly.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

Qualification Requirements:

• Associate degree in business administration or related discipline and/or
• 3+ years of estimating in contract manufacturing experience
• Understanding of Material Estimating theories, procedures, and techniques
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS Government Procurement regulations
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional settings with Finance, Engineering, Planning, Programs, and Quality.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite emphasis on Excel
