Our team of passionate professionals are seeking a Massage Therapist with COMPTA (accreditation by the Commission on Massage Therapy) and a minimum of 3 years experience to join its team on a per diem basis. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.

Summary:
Provides skilled, sensitive and compassionate touch to the patient in a medical environment. Promotes the healing process, improves clinical outcomes and encourages higher levels of wellness, both in patients and those who care for them.

Responsibilities:
1. Performs massage therapy techniques on patients with approval from nurses, physicians, and other health care team members.

2. Obtains the basic medical history of a client, assesses any problems or conditions, and suggests appropriate massage techniques based on current health of client.

3. May include a variety of massage modalities to include deep tissue, myofacial massage, etc.

4. Provides instruction in basic massage therapy techniques for caregivers.

5. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

6. Performs other duties as assigned.
