Markets Transaction Monitoring Analyst

As a Barclays Markets Transaction Monitoring Analyst, you will be accountable for performing robust Trade Surveillance and Supervision for FX, Rates, Credit and Cross Asset trading activity. You will be in charge of ensuring that the Bank’s first line of defence owned governance and control frameworks are effectively implemented to manage the associated risks. Through proper control design and daily alert review, you will ensure that the design remains fit for purpose and the operational effectiveness is consistent.

What will you be doing?

• Ensuring adherence with designated FX and Rates framework while developing a deep understanding of transaction monitoring and evolving business objectives
• Running surveillance reports and escalation procedures as a BAU function while partnering with senior Trading Supervisors, Compliance and Technology stakeholders
• Performing required project-based, such as defining Control Report design aspects and overseeing technology development
• Understanding the change management as well as the control environment
• Using your knowledge about business intelligence tools, data environments and Excel macros on daily basics
• Encouraging the introduction of enhancements within the Control Environment

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in a Control and Governance role either in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Line of Defence
• Financial services experience specifically in Front Office Supervision and related Conduct Risks and Controls relevant to the Markets businesses
• Experience with Foreign Exchange, Rates and/or Credit
• Proven depth of expertise in strategy execution, with experience of delivering change across risk and control environments
