Purpose of the position

The role of the Marketing Manager, Products and Services will be responsible for the positioning of all of Pearson VUE’s services and solutions. They will work closely with the products and services teams to create brand messaging and content that will amplify our positioning in the market and drive business growth. This position will be responsible for determining the associated go-to-market strategies, creating digital and print assets, developing thought leadership, and educating both internal and external stakeholders. The Marketing Manager will be expected to utilize all marketing channels (digital, traditional, events, etc.) where appropriate, and work alongside the wider marketing team to achieve global awareness.

Core tasks and responsibilities

  • Define marketing plans to position and amplify our products and services in the market.
  • Develop key marketing messages to solidify our end-to-end approach to assessment and drive that messaging through all outputs of the business including sales presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for client growth and sharing of best practices for more efficient and successful ways of working.
  • Generate content and marketing assets to promote each product and service.
  • Educate internal stakeholders to raise awareness of our products and services, leading to greater sales and marketing opportunities.
  • Co-ordinate PR, events, research, digital and traditional marketing strategies to identify and deliver on growth initiatives.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for future initiatives that will strengthen Pearson VUE’s market leadership.
  • Report on key successes, challenges, and strategic direction. Perform ROI analysis on all marketing activities.

Essential:

  • A proven marketing / new business generation record in a solution/service-sell environment.
  • B2B and / or B2C marketing experience.
  • Experience of creating, managing and evaluating campaigns.
  • Confidence in creating and presenting at sales presentations / client meetings
  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude and the drive to succeed.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Experience in consulting with key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of “virtual” teams and how to function with them.
  • Fully fluent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work on a non-9-to-5 schedule
  • Full rights to work in the US.

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience in researching leads/markets and interpreting complex information.
  • Passion to improve both processes and behaviors.
  • Able to interpret client/business briefs and create relevant plans.
  • Skillset to lead discussions and drive direction.
  • High energy, hard worker with strong attention to detail.
  • Resilience and the ability to work with internal and external clients.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $78,000 - 95,000 per year.
