Duties and Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Technician:

• Position requires the employee to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, grasp, and routinely lift up to 50 lbs. Must possess excellent mobility, solid visual acuity, good hearing, coordination, balance, manual dexterity, ability to endure long hours, and wear the necessary PPE. All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Performs other duties as required such as; set up of patterns, inspection of castings, operating new/other mold machinery, press casting, set up patterns, grind castings and removal of excess pulp.

Melt Shop Operator / Pourer:

• Become a key member of our manufacturing team by cross-training in our foundry and precision grinding processes to produce refiner plates with attention to quality and safety
• Performs all duties associated with the induction furnace melting operations including loads and weighing charge materials into containers, charges furnaces using floor-operated cranes.
• Operates induction furnace to melt metals to specified product standards, transports metals, and pours molds using monorail system, and repairs furnace and ladle linings as required.
• Receives and inventories materials used in the melting process
• Coordinates mold counts between pouring lines and mold lines
• Continuously strives to improve profitability through improving safety, and quality, reducing manufacturing costs and lead time
• Participates in Integrated Process Management meetings and functions as a team member
