Manufacturing Planner
Production planners oversee the organizing paperwork, such as purchase orders and delivery schedules review orders. Most tasks involve keeping and updating records and information, as well as coordinating purchasing with clients and co-workers. It is the job of the production planner to ensure smooth operations throughout the production and distribution life of a given product. Accordingly, duties may also include monitoring production rates and raw material prices, contacting vendors and checking inventories.
Responsibilities:
- Pull print and quote
- Get with supervisors/foreman and programming to coordinate date to ship job and what resource required
- Enter job in AX
- Complete checklist and confirm material to be used with foreman/supervisor
- Verify in AX and physically check inventory before submitting purchase required
- Email GM to investigate material discrepancies
- Submit purchase requisitions, follow up and verify
- Provide status update twice per shift and keep AX updated as parts move through the processes
- Notify shipping of what is coming up especially large or international jobs that have special requirements, (large pallet, heavyweight, etc.)
