If you are a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining Technician looking to expand your career, Emerson has a newly available position for you! Our **Sidney, Ohio **location is searching for a Scroll Machining Technician, who will be responsible for the operation and primary trouble-shooting of CNC machinery and automation to meet safety, quality, cost, and production goals. You will back up all manufacturing and maintenance groups, as needed. You will furthermore direct and develop hourly personnel within the area and take accountability for 5S activities and line reliability.

AS A CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:

  • Be answerable for safety, quality, cost, and production goals, while handling the line.
  • Be responsible for the start-up and operation of CNC equipment, automation equipment, and gaging equipment.
  • Review gage traces, analyze, and make needed offsets in machines.
  • Alter inserts, drills, and endmills.
  • Accomplish PM's on tool work-holding, and change when needed.
  • Perform model changes.
  • Conduct initial troubleshooting of production issues and repair, if capable.
  • Keep continuous product flow through the line.
  • Take direction from and collaborate with leadership to mitigate downtime.
  • Actively take part in GEMBA walks (whiteboards).
  • Actively engage and participate in 5S and Kaizen events and help identify improvement opportunities.
  • Direct hourly employees working within the area.
  • Execute machine coordinationand gage operator duties, as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Associate or Technical Degree, and (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be open to working all shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd).
  • Knowledge of basic machining practices.
  • Basic understanding of gaging practices.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Ability to perform machine coordination and gage operator duties.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and hourly workforce.
  • Ability to flex work schedule based on needs of operation.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • CNC machining experience in a production environment.
  • Automation experience with robotics in a production environment.

Schedule

3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:30 AM EST

Additional Information

  • Starting base salary of at least $63,500/year
  • $5,000.00 Sign-On Bonus
  • 6% shift differential for off-shifts
  • Overtime eligible
