This is a contract position.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering-Process for our Manufacturing Engineering team of battery module manufacturing line. In this role, you will lead the development, deployment, validation and support of automated manufacturing systems while working with design engineers, system vendors and contract manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
  • This engineer seeks to eliminate inefficiencies and constantly questions the status quo while improving data integrity and product reliability
  • Provide engineering support to module assembly operations as well as production teams to resolve manufacturing process issues
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve business processes and policies needed for nonconforming hardware management, configuration management, manufacturing and assembly, product traceability, rocket reusability and maintenance, and other critical business/production systems
  • Develop business use cases and software requirements for improvements to our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Act as subject matter expert in multiple processes and systems, enabling complex data gathering, troubleshooting, and problem solving
  • Develop standardized metrics for the Production and Quality organizations
  • Develop, review, and approve procedures ensuring completeness, accuracy, regulatory and customer compliance, and quality objectives
  • Develop and execute training and communication plans during major process changes
  • Collaborate across disciplines including Engineering, Production, Test, ERP, Supply Chain, Program Management, Management to ensure efficiency and consistency across the organization
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a Quality Engineering or Industrial Engineering role
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as required
  • Occasional travel may be required


Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience troubleshooting with automated and robotic manufacturing systems
    • Experience deploying Continuous Flow Manufacturing, lean principles and statistic control (Six Sigma) within a volume production environment
    • Experience with root cause analysis, defect reduction, and failure analysis
    • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as LASER welding, precision resin dispense
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
Compensation: $50-80 per hour depending on experience.#LI-SH1
