Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control’s (MFC) Pike County Operations site in Troy, AL is a multi-shift, manufacturing facility which integrates complex mechanical and electronic assemblies. The facility specializes in both low volume / high mix and high-volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Pike County Operations has a manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team. Responsibilities include:

Planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions in support of a final assembly and test production operation. These activities include maintaining production system integrity, inventory accuracy and driving optimization.

Coordinates with manufacturing, engineering, quality, program, and site Production Planning & Control (PP&C) stakeholders to provide shop floor control on make parts.

Coordinates changes to the BOM and impact to inventory and manufacturing processes with engineering.

This position is for the second shift (4:00 PM to 2:30 AM)

This position is supporting manufacturing planning responsibilities in support of a second shift operation working Monday through Thursday.

The Locale:

Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters.

Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small-town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University.

Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience / combined education

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and must have an interim secret clearance prior to starting

Experience communicating with peers, leadership, and internal customers effectively on multiple platforms (face-to-face, virtually, email, Skype, etc.)

Must be able to work the second shift (4:00 PM to 2:30 AM)

Valid driver’s license

Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment
