LASMNY is a non-profit public interest law firm. We provide free legal information, advice and representation to people who are unable to afford a lawyer. The program area includes (13) counties: Broome, Chenango, Cayuga, Cortland, Delaware, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego and Otsego. In addition, our Farmworker Law Project services the entire New York State out of our New Paltz Office.

LASMNY has full-time managing attorney, staff attorney and law graduate positions available immediately in the locations listed below. Must be admitted to the New York State Bar or be able to gain admittance within a reasonable period of time.
Law Graduates, with strong writing backgrounds, may be considered if pending admission to the New York State (NYS) Bar. Before admission to the NYS Bar, individuals may be able to practice or appear as an attorney without being admitted pursuant to the New York Judiciary Law, Sections 478 and 484.
Binghamton Office
Managing Attorney – manage the daily activities and supervision of the office.
Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Domestic Violence
Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Eviction Defense Program
Oneonta Office
Managing Attorney – manage the daily activities and supervision of the office.
Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Eviction Defense Program
Oswego Office
Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Domestic Violence
Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Eviction Defense Program
Syracuse Office
Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Eviction Defense Program
Utica Office
Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Disability Advocacy Program

Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Foreclosure/Domestic Violence
Staff Attorney, Law Graduate – Eviction Defense Program
Disability Advocacy Program – Represent clients in administrative proceedings and hearings before the Social Security Administration.
Domestic Violence – Represent domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
Foreclosure – Litigate all phases of foreclosure defense cases.
Eviction Defense Program–Holistic services to clients with financial and other hardships that could result in loss of housing.
Salary
Admitted to the NYS Bar - Estimated salary range is $52,750 - $83,540, dependent on experience.
Law Graduate – Estimated salary range is $50,000 - $51,375, dependent on experience.
