This position is responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the development and effective and accurate Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS), while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the organization. The Manager is responsible for analyzing and directing all functional related activities within the scope of MMIS, as well as ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.

ATTRIBUTES

  • A Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field required
  • Prior experience as a Business or System Analyst
  • Data warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with Lawson and EPIC systems is preferred.
  • Experience with systems implementation and Ad Hoc reporting is required.
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills and the ability to work with a team at all level of an organization
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) to both external customers and internal team members
  • Solid understanding of all functional areas of Supply Chain Management to be able to convert concept into working technology.
  • Ability to initiate change leadership in a large, diverse organization.
  • Ability to lead teams and work as a member of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the Supply Chain Informatics team in managing the day-to-day activities to support Supply Chain Management and other inter-related functions.
  • Provides overall prioritization of work assignments and management of functional team resources, and their activities.
  • Performs annual performance appraisals of all direct reports. Assists with the development of technical competencies of the Supply Chain and Materials Management Staffs, and developing and monitoring of the associated performance standards.
  • Actively promotes the integration of existing and emerging technology within the Supply Chain Management functions.
  • Plans, budgets and forecasts departments’ needs and applications. Maintains awareness of emerging vendor modifications or strategies, and their potential impact on current and future functionality. Provides senior management with assessment of any potential impact, scheduling considerations and other information required for a complete business case.
  • Oversees new user permissions to ERP and MMIS systems and performs quarterly audits to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Works closely with Materials Management staff and management to assure appropriate information is maintained and distributed to both internal and external users as applicable. Assures data is accurate that is being disseminated.
  • Plans and develops associated operating, capital and project budgets annually and maintains operations within the limits of those budgets.
  • Oversees the development and ongoing reporting requirements for all Supply Chain metrics.
  • Strictly maintains the security and confidentiality of all information, maintaining that environment through the values of all staff that encounter information in the MMIS systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
