Description and Responsibilities:

Open Sky is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented financial leader to serve in the full-time position of Manager of Finance and Grants. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance, the Manager of Finance and Grants will have primary responsibility for supervision of the forecasting and budgeting process, grant management, contracts management, and financial analysis throughout the fiscal year. This position will work closely with leaders across the organization, helping them understand their financial metrics and drivers, support them in creating their budgets, and support them in financial decision-making throughout the year.

This is a full time, in person position.


Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support the financial analyst as they lead the monthly budget to actual process, perform quarterly forecasting and yearly fiscal budget cycles, and maintain the financial dashboards including KPIs.
  • Responsible for managing grant documents and deadlines, staff mapping, tracking grantee results, working with programs teams to ensure grant funds are fully spent, and grant financial reporting to funders.
  • Monitor existing contracts for compliance with government rules, regulations, and contract commitments. Support VP of Finance with contract preparation, and submission.
  • Provide financial analysis to support the financing, acquisition, and leasing of properties.
  • Responsible for configuration and maintenance of the organization’s budgeting software.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in finance with grant and contracts management, budget and forecasting cycles, of which 2 years are in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience and expertise in data & analytics.
  • Experience in human/social services, healthcare, or related field preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-departmental, multi-disciplinary teams, including functions such as human resources, payroll, benefits, insurance, IT, real estate, and other related functions which this role will help support.
  • General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); knowledge of Uniform Financial Reporting (UFR) a plus.
