Our Opportunity:

This role is responsible for managing the learning platform for RBI in order to ensure strategies, plans and initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives. The Manager, Learning & Development is also responsible for the capability advancement across various functions, taking into account evolving learner needs, and regular input from the HR leadership team, People Business Partners and Business Leaders.

This position works closely with business leaders to meet strategic and development needs, while ensuring the investment is appropriate and proactively identifying opportunities for improving current and future offers, enhancing productivity and reducing unnecessary customization. The Manager works to ensure that learning strategy and solutions are focused on driving business outcomes in an agile and consistent manner, in alignment with the RBI Learning Strategy and reflecting key business line/ function needs and emerging trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Learning and Development Director to ensure alignment within department strategy
  • Design and develop learning experiences in various modalities (e.g., Instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led, eLearning, manuals and workshops) for brand, discipline, technology, and enterprise-wide training projects
  • Effectively and professionally facilitate all company learning programs, including planning, facilitating administering and evaluations.
  • Provide proactive learning thought leadership based on talent competency gaps, emerging trends, and future Provides learning related advice, strategies, and solutions aligned to the overall Business HR workforce strategies.
  • Ensure the creation of all learning solutions maintain high standards of excellence in design and instructional soundness and meet business needs.
  • Leverage data generated by People Analytics to conduct training needs analysis, formulate learning insights, generate recommendations, and measure impact on performance.
  • Advocates and champions the global learning strategy within the business
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with senior business leaders and teams and act as an advisor, demonstrating an understanding of the business line/ function strategy and proactively identifying the learning implications that are associated with emerging Employ a performance consulting approach to ensure that learning solutions address defined performance gaps.
  • Collaborate and engage with broader Learning Community globally to emphasize the sharing and incorporation of best practices on business line and functional learning.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, external vendors and networks to ensure currency and relevancy of training industry trends and best practices
  • Leverage knowledge to implement solutions to continuously improve/enhance strategies, programs, and processes.
  • Act as the key point of contact for various learning Partner with specialist functions (Legal, Health & Safety etc.) and bring in resources to implement learning solutions that meet the distinctive challenges and needs of the business.
  • Develops people by using a coaching mindset and behaviors

Education/Experience:

  • Post-secondary Degree or Masters in Business or Human Resources or related field
  • 3-4+ years of experience in L&D, Training, or a related field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current learning and instructional theories and principles
  • Extensive or relevant experience in implementing learning strategies and solutions in a large complex corporate environment
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization. Able to collaborate with HR stakeholders and business partners and coach managers. Actively listens and seeks to understand needs with genuine curiosity.
  • Strong problem solving, conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Strong ability to strategically influence and persuade senior Strong ability to effectively perform in a complex, high change environment while being a positive steward for the HR team
  • Results oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast past environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, independence and collaboration, with an ability to build strong cross-functional team relationships
  • Strong business acumen and understanding to allow appropriate partnership with client groups
  • Effectively leverages multiple business tools to define and execute the HR and change component of business strategies
  • Understands how the data relates to actions and results for an individual person or team
  • French &/or Spanish language skills are an asset
