We're looking for someone who is:

  • Detail-oriented. Excellent organizational skills, careful planning, and attention to detail are crucial. It is up to you to implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.
  • A great communicator. As the Manager in Training, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal team member skills. You will need to supervise, motivate, encourage, challenge and discipline store and kitchen employees as well as conduct store meetings.
  • Tech-savvy. You will need to be adept with computers and able to complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as established by Management.
  • Passionate. You should have a passion for brand and cultivating community. A passion for food, and an exceptional cup of coffee, alongside the desire to inspire people to visit and return to our convenience store is a must.

Why join Rusty Lantern Markets:

  • Make a difference. Our company is growing, and we have big plans to change customers' perception of what to expect from a convenience store. This is a great opportunity to get in early at a company that, we believe, is on its way to becoming an industry leader.
  • Grow with the company. Rusty Lantern Market is rapidly expanding and there will be a need for individuals in more high-level positions. We are advocates of promoting from within the organization rather than seeking this level of expertise outside the organization.
  • Work that stays fresh. There will always be ample opportunities to learn new things. Plus, given the pace of change at our growing company, we can pretty much guarantee that you will never be bored.
  • Friendly and Supportive Work Environment. We may be bias, but our team is the best! Everyone on the team is friendly, supportive, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
