The Data Operations (DataOps) Manager is responsible for leading the Data Operations team in orchestrating, administering, deploying, developing, and supporting our organization’s data interoperability and analytics projects and infrastructure. The Data Operations Manager works with different IT roles and business stakeholders (internal and external) while using industry standards and best practices to design, develop and maintain processes in our production environments that support key strategic organizational priorities and contractual requirements.

This position is full-time remote; however, travel to the home will be required as needed. The selected candidate must reside in North Carolina. Candidates located in the Rock Hill, South Carolina Region will also be given consideration.

Responsibilities & Duties

Supervise and Develop Employees and Assigned Projects

  • Provide project management and oversight for all Data Operations projects
  • Lead, train and develop the members of the Data Operations team and assist them in delivering high quality work
  • Ensure staff are well trained in and comply with all organization and department policies, procedures, business processes and workflows
  • Actively establish and promote a positive, diverse, and inclusive working environment that builds trust
  • Ensure all staff are treated with respect and dignity
  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in line with organization goals and vision
  • Communicate feedback and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to staff and support a learning environment to advance team skills and professional development

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate findings with both technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders, providing active leadership skills across project team and business community
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Alliance’s data ecosystem
  • Represent Alliance in regular and ad-hoc TechOps meetings

Manage and Analyze Data Services

  • Provide guidance on how to design and develop data processes

  • Ensure the smooth operation of data services and processes with minimal interruptions

  • Support the resolution of incidents and problems in production data processes and services

  • Participate in business analysis activities to gather data processes requirements

  • Test and review data products and processes to ensure that requirements are met and that they are developed in line with our development standards and best practices.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

Graduation from a Community College or Technical School with a major in computer science or related field with six (6) years of experience; three (3) years of experience working in an ITIL or ITSM role.

Experience working in a healthcare setting in a supervisory role and with a focus on data processes preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of ITIL, ITSM and/or ISO 20000
  • Knowledge of data processes support
  • Communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of SQL and ETL/ELT processes (preferably T-SQL and SSIS)
  • Knowledge of data platforms administration
  • Knowledge of job scheduling, preferably using JAMS

Salary Range

$101,383.68 to $174,529.39/Annually

Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
