RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repairs durable medical equipment, wheelchairs, IV poles, etc

Repairs electrical equipment (switches, outlets, cords, plugs, etc)

Changes water heater elements, replace wax seals, assist with running electrical lines

Repairs minor obvious malfunctions and reports major malfunctions of heating and cooling equipment to the department manager

Performs simple carpentry

Performs minor cementing, plastering, and plumbing

Installs minor carpeting and floor tile projects, etc

Paints and repairs tile plaster and drywall surfaces in rooms, offices, and corridors

Responds rapidly and appropriately to emergencies involving residents and coworkers safety

Performs daily rounds as assigned

Completes preventive maintenance on a monthly basis to include kitchen equipment, cleaning ice machine filters, etc.

Provides on-call maintenance coverage as assigned

Performs outside task such as snow removal and grounds maintenance

Performs other related duties as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma, preferably with training in vocational courses.

At least six months experience in a maintenance position.

Experience in building trade desired.

Able to lift, push or pull a minimum of 100 lbs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, experience in a healthcare setting preferred
