Job Summary
The maintenance technician is responsible for assisting maintenance services and repairs to the building and grounds in both the office and manufacturing spaces. Also responsible for assisting basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and other multiple maintenance activities across the facility.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Works under direct supervision; relies on experience and general instructions to perform the functions of the job
- Assists with regular, preventative maintenance on the building and grounds
- Assists in repairs including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and others to maintain the building in good working condition
- Uses hand tools and other small machinery to perform duties
- Snow removal of sidewalks
- Assists with regular, preventative maintenance on and in building
- Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities
- Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
- Maintains work area clean and organized
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma
- Minimum 1 years of formal on-the-job training in general maintenance
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Basic knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
- Must be at least 18 years of age
