The St. Louis Jewish Federation has an excellent opportunity for a part-time Maintenance Technician.

We are seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to support the needs of our Kaplan Feldman Complex and the St. Louis Holocaust Museum. This role serves staff and visitors by ensuring that all buildings, mechanical equipment, and grounds are maintained in a high-quality manner.

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment, grounds, buildings, and structures. This work includes manual labor to address maintenance and repair needs within the facilities. It also includes basic to intermediate handy work and the coordination of vendors to complete complex projects.

A day in the life of the part-time Maintenance Technician includes:

  • Completing preventative, maintenance, and repair services such as painting, basic carpentry and electrical work, operating the HVAC system
  • Supporting A/V and IT setup as needed including running cables, troubleshooting equipment and conducting basic A/V setup
  • Responding to emergency calls after-hours and on weekends

Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • Strong handyman skills including painting, basic carpentry and electrical work
  • Ability to independently complete projects
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good physical condition with ability to lift 75 lbs. and possessing good fine motor coordination and ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, heights, and confined spaces
  • Ability to use ladders and lifts
  • Valid Drivers’ license and clear driving record is required

This position will work Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with on call responsibilities on nights and weekends at our Millstone Campus in Creve Coeur.
