Will be working under the Hotel Maintenance Engineer. Assisting with routine maintenance items and any other tasks. Must be an all rounder and willing to learn. Great opportunity to grow and learn new skills.

• Follow and comply with all hotel rules, employment policies and guest service standards

• § Complete orientation and job training within the first 30 days of employment.

• § Follow your work schedule and perform any job assignment given to you by your Supervisors in any

part of the hotel.

• § Attend scheduled hotel meetings with proper notice given out at least two days in advance.

• § Comply with all hotel safety, Lost & Found and Loss prevention policies and report any incident or

situation that you witness at any time to your supervisors.

• § Read, sign and comply with Employee handbook, safety and brand standard rules.

• § Refrain from any unauthorized activities including harassment and tempering with hotel property

and any other property than does not belong to you.

• § Complete all duties associated with the operation of Building maintenance functions and including –

• § Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments in hotel machinery, using hand tools,

special HVAC, plumbing and construction tools, levels, plumb bobs and straightedges.

• § Install, align and balance new equipment after installation.

• § Complete all work orders and return out-of-order rooms to inventory before check-in time.

• § Double check repairs for safety after work is completed before releasing the repaired area.

• § Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

• § Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical, pipe systems and plumbing and equipment.

• § Dismantle devices to remove defective parts, using lifts, hand tools and power tools.

Inspect, operate, and test equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions.

• § Repair, document and maintain safe refrigeration to comply with local codes

• § Repair sheetrock walls, ceilings, roofs, and other building structures as needed .

• § Repair and document pool safety equipment and chemicals for the comfort of hotel guests

• § Maintain regular building inspections to meet Fire Marshall code. Including smoke detectors,

boilers, fire alarm system, extinguishers, ansul systems and Elevators.

• § Maintain and document preventive maintenance programs for rooms and for public areas.

• § Diagnose mechanical problems and use blueprints, and repair manuals as necessary.

• § Repair specialized equipment found in hotel rooms, laundries, mechanical rooms and offices.

• § Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, walls, and other parts of building.

• § Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.

• § Plan repair work using diagrams, drawings, manuals and schematic diagrams.

• § Obtain a minimum of three bids and communicate to the manager before ordering supplies.

• § Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures as needed.

• § Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, filters, and complete regular R&M checklists.

Required Knowledge:
Building and Construction -- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or

repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.

Mechanical and Engineering -- Knowledge of the application of engineering principles. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Skills Required:
Installation -- Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.

Repairing -- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
Equipment Maintenance -- Determining what kind of maintenance is needed.
Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Equipment Selection -- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Quality Control Analysis -- Conducting tests and inspections to evaluate quality or performance.

Manual Dexterity -- The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Control Precision -- The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.

Extent Flexibility -- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.

solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
