Maintenance Technician
ABOUT ENDOT INDUSTRIES, LLC

Endot Industries has over 50 years of experience specializing in the manufacturing of small diameter polyethylene pipe for water, wastewater, gas and conduit applications.

Endot is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to work out of our Greeneville, TN manufacturing location. This role will be responsible for ensuring production and auxiliary equipment is functioning properly and within safety guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Forklift truck and clamp truck operation and safety
  • Basic Electric Theory (AC/DC voltage differences, fuses and circuit breakers, use and needs, use and function of electric meter)
  • Tool Inventory – Uses
  • Tap and die set – Sizes and methods
  • Nut and bolt grades and threads
  • Welding
  • Read, write, mathematics, including decimal, fractions, conversions and measurements.
  • Electricity knowledge
  • Mechanical ability
  • Plumbing ability
  • Able to work independently.
  • Basic background in Electronics and mechanical design & drawings

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Basic Abilities

  • Manage minor repairs on corrugators and assists in major repairs
  • Completes yearly compressor maintenance and P&M’s
  • Familiar with Purchase order procedures and can contact vendors for maintenance supplies.
  • Able to function as a temporary maintenance assistant throughout corporate sites for project situations when needed. (Travel required)

Extruders

  • Understand entire extruder function and enforce safe operating procedures
  • Maintain guards, blow plugs, pressure gauges and emergency stops to insure personnel safety
  • Understands the relationship of temperature control to drive RPM and the maintenance required for repeatability of process control

Auxiliary Equipment

  • Maintains each individual production line by having the regular downstream equipment in functioning form, allowing the production department availability of an unrestricted schedule.
  • Allot sufficient time for spare equipment that is stationed in the maintenance area to be at the ready state, to allow for the transfer of the machinery.
  • Monitor all color feeders and blenders, and check for accuracy and function per extruder. Samples need to be brought to QC on a quarterly basis.

Reduction Equipment

  • Maintain sufficient blades and drive belts in inventory for rotation and repair
  • Ensure grinders and shredders are operational on a full time basis

Electrical Work

  • Able to troubleshoot wire systems in a variety of equipment
  • Trace problems from circuit breaker to motor applications

Mechanical Work

  • Know basics of mechanical disassembly and how to organize parts for reassembly.

Pneumatics Work

  • Handle air line distribution grid and pressure needs
  • Installation and maintenance of regulators, oil mist and filter combos.
  • Radiator maintenance
  • Compressor maintenance

Hydraulic Work

  • Oil checklist for machinery and equipment
  • Hose inspection and replacement
  • Tulsa Winder Operation – inspect, maintain and replace hydraulic valve controls, oil pump and hoses.

Plumbing Work

  • Understand water system layout, including supply side, drainage side and chiller system.
  • Understand the pump station and various plumbing parts.
  • Facilitate smaller pump replacements.
  • PVC plumbing

Loaders and Receivers

  • Complete regular maintenance on loader hoppers to the filters and seal rings to avoid breakdowns.
  • Monitor cylinder actions on both vacuum side and ratio side. Change cylinders before material movement problems can occur.
  • Monitor silo piping system insuring free flow of material, internal and external
  • Maintain rail car unloader in working form.

Shipping Area Equipment

  • Respond to problems with Dock Levelers, Air Supplies and Stretch Wrappers.
  • Handle minor repairs on Forklift and Clamp trucks

Auxiliary Duties

  • Unload railcars and maintain proper segregation of material by silo.
  • Keep maintenance area organized and tools in proper place.
  • Filter checklist for Monday startup

Monitor DC motor temperatures.
