The Berkshire of Burnsville Townhome Community is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician for our property. The Berkshire is a Prestigious Townhome Community located close to I35 E and McAndrews Rd in Burnsville.

The Maintenance Technician works directly with the Property Manager to ensure the timely completion of all assigned maintenance duties. This position is Monday thru Friday 9am- 6pm. Rotating on-call for after hours.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs.
• Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly.
• Obtains services of outside contractors when repairs require specialized training.
• Performs general cleaning tasks in the facility.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools - must provide your own
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able 50 pounds at a time.
