SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Investigates, evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain and improve production efficiencies while assisting in the development of plant improvement projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all duties listed below.
• Evaluates, and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
• Assist with Preventative Maintenance as needed
• Know and apply written safety procedures.
• Inspect work areas, and look for unsafe acts.
• Complete projects/assignments safely and efficiently.
• Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
• Inspect work areas, and look for unsafe acts/conditions.
• Effectively use verbal and written communications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

AUTHORITY LEVEL (if applicable):

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred: 2-year degree in related fields, electrical experience/classroom knowledge, basic hydraulics/pneumatics experience, basic PLC knowledge

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Post-secondary maintenance training certifications and 3 years maintenance experience

definitely a plus. Strong knowledge of industrial systems (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic), knowledge of Robotics including servos & vision system a plus

SKILLS:
Required: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift. Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting. Strong commitment to safety a must, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, self-motived, work with minimal supervision, good written & verbal communication skills, good work ethic, analytical in nature, strong problem solver, and good trouble shooting skills.

• This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with attention to detail. Mechanical Aptitude a plus.
• While performing the essential functions and duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands & arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays
