Summary
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager /Maintenance Supervisor/Project Specialist assists on projects in order to keep the outside property, building, and inside of Casino in like new condition. Also performs routine maintenance on assigned mechanical equipment, and assists with construction projects and remodeling projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Assists with any interior and exterior, grounds projects and any other projects or duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Project Specialist.
• Assists in site layouts, remodeling, framing, building, demolishing, concrete, masonry, etc.
• Cleans up construction debris, moves lumber and materials
• Assist in lifting, storing, and hanging heavy objects and material including doors, cabinets, sheet rock and ceiling tiles.
• Must be able to work independently and with limited supervision.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience*
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and at least four years’ experience in maintenance project management, cost control, and specialized in at least three of the following fields: carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and safety and two years’ experience with concrete and/or masonry required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year operator experience on a few of the following equipment preferred: front end loader, grader, dozer, scraper, backhoe and forklift. Forklift certification preferred. Must have good communication and public relation skills, have technical knowledge of building system and equipment. Familiar with building and building equipment preventive maintenance procedures. Proficient in plan reading and able to interpret manufacturer’s literature and manuals as they pertain to the building systems.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, blueprints, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills*
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability*
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations*
Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid California Driver’s License. Forklift certification preferred.
