Ergon - West Virginia, Inc. in Newell, WV currently has an opening for a Maintenance Planner/Coordinator.

The Maintenance/Planner Coordinator is a logistical support position to the Maintenance/Engineering Department. This position will assist in the repair and service of plant process equipment through planning, scheduling of resources and the requisitioning of material.

Maintenance Planner/Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Always keeps safe work habits as the highest priority.
  • Plan and coordinate the maintenance work for all rotating and mechanical equipment, including but not limited to compressors, pumps, steam turbines, lubrication systems, as well as piping, vessels, structures, electrical and instrumentation.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating activities for shutdowns, outages and Turnarounds.
  • Develop daily work schedules for Maintenance Crafts and Contractors.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and development of work scope, work sequence and identification of maintenance needs for process equipment prior to repair work or maintenance work beginning.
  • Generate and distribute departmental reports.
  • Maintain equipment files.
  • Maintain master data and records in SAP.
  • Analyze SAP work orders for manpower, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Assure proper coding of SAP work orders.
  • Maintain work order backlog and work order status.
  • Requisition material and services.
  • Coordinate work between different crafts and planner groups.
  • Liaison between Operations, Maintenance / Engineering and contractors to assure proper permitting and scheduling of work.
  • Verify completion of work orders and document services and repairs
  • Available for call-out as needed.

Maintenance Planner/Coordinator Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 7 years' experience in maintenance and/or planning, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical repairs, welding practices, pipefitting, instrumentation, and electrical components.
  • Knowledge of petroleum products is desired.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn planning software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must maintain good working relationship with plant personnel, contractors and vendors.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
