Basic Function

HF Sinclair Parco Refining LLC in Sinclair, WY is seeking a Maintenance Planner responsible for all planning pertaining to instrumentation, electrical and mechanic work depending on assignment, with an emphasis on electrical and instrumentation (E&I). Responsible for ensuring that maintenance schedules are met by planning jobs accurately and purchasing the necessary materials. The Planner also ensures that materials are cost effective and meet the Organization's quality standards.

Job Duties

• Receive and review work requests that have been authorized by the unit supervisors.
• Coordinate with other Refinery departments to determine the resources needed to complete maintenance work.
• Prepare a work scope and establish the labor, tools, materials and equipment required for budget and executions of work.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and materials to ensure timely completion of maintenance work.
• Requisition resources through the purchasing department and monitors scheduled deliveries from vendors.
• Maintain records essential to the effective operation of the planning and scheduling areas of responsibility.
• Expedite materials from vendors.
• Good understanding of equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• The planner works with purchasing to improve performance of vendors and with engineering for quality improvements.
• Aid in monitoring and correcting problems in the planning process that adversely affect maintenance performance.
• Follow-through on commitments made to others.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience/Education

High school diploma or general education development certificate (GED). Two years maintenance or planning experience in the oil and gas industry with preference given to those candidates with previous oil refinery Electrical and Instrumentation experience, preferably Electrician Apprentice level or above. Proficient in computer usage including Microsoft Office Suite and computer maintenance management software (i.e. SAP)
