Job Overview

Maintenance technicians support operations by maintaining the facility and equipment. The maintenance team safely performs scheduled preventative maintenance, as-needed repairs and floor calls for all facets of a modern bakery, kitchen, and restaurant. This is a position where a candidate can continue to improve their skills and grow into more advanced roles.

Role & Responsibilities

Adhere to LOTO and all common safety practices or rules including the wearing of protective equipment as required.

Performs preventative maintenance and repair of all plant and building equipment with minimal supervision.

Ability to learn and use shop equipment, basic hand-held power tools to perform routine repairs safely and properly.

Reports any equipment or building conditions requiring repair to the Maintenance Manager.

Demonstrates consistent improvement in knowledge and skills.

Assists other mechanics in maintaining a high level of productivity in the plant.

Develops the ability to use the computerized maintenance management system to complete work requests and retrieve data on plant equipment.

Requests all materials necessary for the completion of designated job assignments.

Follow plant hygiene standard to ensure high integrity of product.

Performs other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.

Responsible for following food safety, and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMPs, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.

Qualifications

Eager to learn and continuously improve.

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical coursework or certifications and continuing education encouraged.

Strong mechanical and electrical experience to improve the operations of the facility.

Strong understanding of and aptitude with basic tools.

Welding experience a plus

Ability to read and interpret schematics: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic

Browser-based computer software and CMMS experience.

Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs.

Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time, and in hot environments.

Willingness to work all shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
