Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.

MOOs maintenance team is composed of press technicians and mechanics. We span two geographies (US and UK) and are responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained and running well for production; so we can deliver premium print and hard good products to our customers timely.. We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team and lead total productive maintenance at MOO.

Here at MOO, we’re always looking to automate and improve our equipment and the skillsets of our team. This role encompasses all aspects of maintenance; including downtime, manpower, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, equipment improvements, skill level, etc.

This is an exciting opportunity in our brand new East Providence, Rhode Island facility. We’re looking for a dependable leader to implement TPM and a CMMS in our new facility, coach our maintenance team and communicate effectively across operations.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Engineering and Quality and will work closely with manufacturing to improve the overall performance of our equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Promoting a safety culture and awareness within the organization.
  • Overseeing all aspects of maintenance for all existing and future equipment in the building.
  • Flexible work schedule to take care of any urgent situations (Night, Weekends, Holidays). This position may require hands-on activities.
  • Training and up-skilling the collective departmental knowledge and skillset.
  • Proactively collaborating and communicating with all departments with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Maintaining an appropriate level of parts inventory and monitoring expenses and controlling the Maintenance budget.
  • Manage plant-wide maintenance and capital, maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available resources.
  • Provide long range planning for equipment needs including capital and major repairs.
  • Provide technical assistance and creative thinking during planning and coordination meetings to deliver the most cost-effective solutions to mechanical and instrumentation issues.
  • Manage and improve skills of the maintenance team through coaching and training.
  • Organizes and oversees all contracted outside service work.
  • Develop and maintain a TPM Program.
  • Implement and maintain CMMS.
  • Manage Jira ticketing system for work orders.
  • Track, review and analyze unplanned downtime and makes improvements to OEE through continuous improvement of equipment and maintenance systems.
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:

  • The person we appoint to this role will be a dependable leader with good communication and keen to work as part of a team. To be considered for the role, you’ll need to show you have:
  • Manufacturing maintenance experience
  • CMMS and TPM Experience
  • Proven Leadership skills and the ability to motivate people to perform at high levels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build and work to a budget
  • Flexible working style - off hours as required to pitch in and help the maintenance team as needed.

Nice To Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field and/or equivalent experience in a converting facility.
  • Experience with PLC controllers, PLC fault diagnostics, and electrical/mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with automation and robots.
  • Experience and knowledge of roll stock cutting machines, printing presses, die cutting machines, and straight-line gluers is preferred.
