The Industrial Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance, and reliability functions and teams at the Group14 Moses Lake facility, including Group14 employees, contractors, and outside consultants as needed. (S)/he is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and performance of maintenance related programs (TPM, PM/PdM, FMEA, RCM, etc.) as they evolve within the Company. The teams will be responsible for the execution of maintenance tasks, including managing spare parts inventory, and work planning for predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance. (S)/he will lead a team of 5-8 maintenance technicians, 4-8 I/E technicians, a planner/scheduler, maintenance team leader, a small reliability team, and an inventory specialist.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:


  • Ensure the highest level of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization.
  • Develop, lead and manage all maintenance/reliability functions and staff at the Moses Lake Plant.
  • Define, develop and lead the maintenance/reliability strategy, program, budget and culture; including behaviors, policies, procedures, tasks, and metrics to meet business goals and drive a high-performance work culture.
  • Provide staff development, coaching, counseling, and training; and ensure organizational performance, growth and learning to build a strong, collaborative team in an environment of team member empowerment.
  • Provide strong technical leadership in the areas of plant mechanical integrity, preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, CMMS development, maintenance planning/scheduling, work system efficiency, root cause analysis, equipment repair techniques and work quality assessment.
  • Focus all maintenance, repair and upgrade activities whereby all equipment, machinery, and systems are in a precision operating state.
  • Measure, manage, report and improve overall plant on-stream-time, with a particular focus on overall plant productivity and efficiency.
  • Research, plan, and prepare proposals for equipment and machinery modifications that will reduce downtime, allow for more efficient utilization, and improve overall safety, environmental and quality performance.
  • Provide key expertise as part of our overall Management of Change process to ensure safe, efficient and effective on-going operations.
  • Identify and help prioritize continuous improvement opportunities across the Moses Lake plant.
  • Lead our contractor management activities across the site, and coordinate/collaborate closely with other functional leaders across the plant to ensure contractor safety, environmental compliance, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all business-critical records, documents, and blueprints for maintenance assets at the plant
  • Manage the annual maintenance and repairs operating budget.
  • Consistently demonstrate by example the Company’s Core Values through leadership behaviors, actions, and assistance to both peers, superiors and subordinates.
  • Provide formal and informal support and coaching to direct reports in an effort of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the inventory of critical materials, parts, and equipment needed to maintain plant and equipment. Actively manage the Storeroom personnel and assets to ensure optimum balance of cost and parts availability.
  • Process owner of the CMMS at the Moses Lake site, and key business process resource to the broader organization.
  • Key leader and business owner of the planning, staffing, and safe implementation of plant turn-around projects.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field from accredited College or University. MS in applicable Engineering discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing/industrial environment – Chemical, Materials industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Leadership skills to champion positive change, manage conflict to resolution, and maintain high morale.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, coaching, and delegation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable, and change priorities while staying true to overall strategic direction and core values.
  • Excellent organizational skills, balancing multiple projects with attention to detail and overall cost management.
  • Very strong technical skills in mechanical engineering, equipment design and maintainability, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Excellent structured trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to anticipate future failure modes and take necessary action to minimize future business impacts.
  • Deep knowledge of preventative maintenance software and execution of projects resulting from the data.
  • Superior understanding of project management methodologies and software, including but not limited to budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance/accounting concepts and practices related to overall facility maintenance.
  • Experience working with productivity Lean Six Sigma tools that increase project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to lead, promote and sustain a continuous improvement culture.

OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:


  • Experience in powder/bulk solids manufacturing.
  • Experience with work planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, P6 Primavera, or others.
  • Experience with Process Safety Management site.

The base pay range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. Actual pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
