Maintenance Manager Purpose:

  • Directs and coordinates all activities of plant maintenance. Directly supervising 11 multi-skilled craft persons.
  • Allocate workload and supervise maintenance technicians.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service provider.
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Monitor electrical and mechanical systems of facilities to ensure functionality.
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required.
  • Forecast operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
  • Provides direction and example for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the maintenance activities.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  • This position Manages 11 employees. Also indirectly supervises contract employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications Required for Job:

  • 10+ years experience in maintenance management role.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members.
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Design software; Internet software; Project Management software and Database software.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree (BS) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HVAC is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
