The Maintenance Engineer assists in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment, including all therapeutic linear accelerators, diagnostic x-ray equipment and other electrical, mechanical, and related equipment
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A Experience REQUIRED: Two to three years experience as an engineer with an x-ray company or working in-house at a large hospital Experience PREFERRED: Five or more years engineering experience in radiologic/radiation oncology equipment Education/training REQUIRED: Associates Degree in Electronics or closely related field Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Independent action(s) required: Works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Engineer. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: Repairs are performed as needed in order to provide reliable and timely service to Radiation Oncology patients. Maintenance is provided after hours and may include evenings and weekends.
