Position Summary

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our plant moving. You will be in charge of maintaining the building's facilities as well as assisting maintenance with tasks and projects. Additionally, you will spend a fair amount of time supporting our chip room operations.

Aspects of Your Work

• Empty chip and scrap bins
• Manage and load chip trailer
• Empty cardboard and trash bins around the building
• Outside grounds maintenance. Weeds, trash, etc.
• Shovel and salt sidewalks and emergency exits
• Replace HVAC filters monthly
• Help maintain soap and paper products in the restrooms
• Clean up oil spills. Scrub and sweep floors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
• Able to stand for most of the shift, and lift up to 35 pounds
