Maintenance and Facilities Technician Part-time

Company: The Divided Sky Foundation, Ludlow, VT
We are looking for a part-time maintenance and facilities technician to join our team!
The technician will be scheduled to work 20 hours per week to support construction and renovations.
With the ability to move to full time when the facility opens in the summer.
Accountabilities
- Supporting the construction and renovations of the facilities and grounds as needed.
- Applying skills to the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds.
- Maintaining building equipment in proper working order.
- Maintaining grounds and lawn
- Maintaining a proper inventory of equipment, supplies, and other necessary items required to perform duties assigned.
- Performing minor repairs to the facility’s mechanical, plumbing, and electrical system.
- Procuring services from vendors when significant repairs are required beyond the duties of this position.
- Arranging for and monitoring HVAC service contracts from vendors on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Maintaining service and repair logs.
- The ability to be on-call for facility issues, assess any concerns and perform repairs or make arrangements for repairs..
- Maintaining security and safety systems.
- Promote and adhere to the workplace values of integrity, respect, trust, teamwork, quality, and excellence
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules or policy & procedure manuals.
- Ability to be flexible in relation to department needs.
Education, Experience, Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
- Skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and custodial.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
