Job description

Under the direction of the supervisor, the Doxy Operator sets up and operates all equipment associated with the product of LX powders, including all the powder preparation equipment. The incumbent may be required to operator any plant equipment that supports the manufacture of Ta and Niobium products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operates Jaw crushers, Tornado/Pin Mills and all blending equipment, to support the production of Tantalum powder.
• Set up and operates the Doxy Furnace, Leach Barrels and the chemical addition equipment for LX powders.
• Set up and operates Air Dryers, Screeners and Dry Magnet in the production of LX powders.
• Set up and runs Agglomeration furnaces.
• Set up and operates vacuum packaging equipment.
• Perform trouble shooting and routine preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment.
• Perform sampling as needed.
• Enter material movements in SAP, completes all associated quality control paperwork and lot traceability paperwork to assure product is clearly tested and identified.
• Cross train in other areas as time permits.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED)
• Four years of industrial experience preferred. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Confined space entry certification, lockout/tagout certification and fork truck license preferred.
