Now hiring for Machine Assembly Operator. Spherion of Rhode Island currently has Machine/Assembly Operator opportunities available to support our local, industry leading customer.
We have several shifts open!
For this Machine Assembly Operator position, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to assemble and test machines and equipment.
- Operate various hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, and wrenches to assemble and disassemble components.
- Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery and equipment and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report progress and identify issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and machine maintenance schedules.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in machine assembly, maintenance, or related field.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
