Promote, educate and recruit potential donor mothers through explanation of the public cord blood donation program to expectant mothers and participation in hospital programs directed toward pregnant mothers.

The Cord Blood Collection Coordinator's responsibility is to :

• Obtain informed consent from the donating mother.
• Provide obstetrician with all materials needed for cord blood collection.
• Accurately label the umbilical cord blood units (CBUs) after delivery from mothers choosing to donate to the public Cleveland Cord Blood Center.
• Obtain medical and family history from donating mother.
• Assemble CBU, maternal peripheral blood samples, maternal history form to prepare these CBUs for courier transport to Cleveland Cord Blood Center at 25001 Emery Road, Warrensville Heights, OH 44128

Full-time Evening shift. Splitting days at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center on Ashby Ave in Berkeley, and Kaiser San Leandro on Merced St in San Leandro.
