JOB DESCRIPTION LICENSED NURSE QUALIFICATIONS

Possess a current license from the Board of Vocational or Registered Nursing

Knowledge of the theory technique and practice of nursing.

Knowledge of medical terminology, routines and equipment usage.

Knowledge of medications administered and side effects.

Working relationship with physician, DCS, peers, DON, staff In general, Ability to plan and coordinate supervision: leadership skills.

Ability to work with a professional attitude. Possess a current CPR card, Fingerprint clearance.

RESPONSIBLE TO;

Director of Nursing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer medications with proper technique according to PIP. Administer medications and treatments according to MD orders.

Supervision of Direct Care Staff

a. Knowledge of duties, accountability

b. Documentation accuracy, follow through

c. Direct communication, teaching, directing & training

Always have good infection control practices in performing duties, Coordinate needs of consumer with Physician. Documentation according to Policy and Procedure Manual. Be a liaison with program director QMRP

Communication with day programs, regional center, parents, DHS, families.

In-service individuals as necessary when Improper procedures or errors noted.

Count meds as needed beginning and at end of the shift and sign log.

Coordinate consumer care with all other shifts, rounds PRN.

Routine nursing care and responsibility for clients,

a. Emergency treatment/ judgment/ equipment.

b. Monitor skin conditions.

c. Care plans for any change of condition

d. Rounds frequently to ensure proper, care and supervision,

Additional duties for shift specific and day specific such as summaries.

Attend all licensed staff meetings, as notice given.

Check MAR's and physician's orders at the end of the month for next month

Hours: 2PM-10:30PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour
