LPN or experienced Medical Assistant needed FULL TIME
Salary Range: $18 to$ 24/ hour based on experience/licensure
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
LPN/MA will assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician or NP/PA
Essential Functions
- Scribing visits for providers, dictating notes with providers in EMR system
- Returning patient calls
- Setup and close down of exam rooms and bringing back patients
- Entering patient demographics and scheduling patients into practice management system
- Managing patient charts for prescriptions, diagnosis, medical records, patient correspondence
- Assist physician with all dermatological procedures
- Instrument auto-clave duties
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. *LPN licensure or MA certification preferred*
- EMR experience preferred - current EMR: ModMed's EMA
- Dermatology experience required
- Experience with patient charting (i.e., scribing patient history, doctor’s diagnosis description and treatment plans,
including prescriptions and patient instructions into patient chart, in detail)
- 2 years’ + experience working in a medical office
- Focus on exceptional customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and well organized
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Knowledgeable of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Knowledge of medical/dermatology terminology and abbreviations required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to spend a great deal of the day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day.
