Join us for Camp Con 2023 on our expansive 8-acre campus in Northwest DC!

We are seeking camp counselors with previous childcare experience who will help plan, implement, and lead age-appropriate activities for children. Activities generally include arts and crafts, sports, nature, songs, games, and an element of education. Aside from leading children through activities, you will also be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of campers. Get your costume ready for the biggest celebration and camp and campers ever at our Camp Con!

Qualifications:

Loves kids
Demonstrated experience working with children
Ability to teach and lead various STEAM and recreational activities
Excellent character, integrity, and adaptability
Ability to communicate and work with a variety of age and skill levels
The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control
At least18 years of age, prior childcare experience, or successful employment as a Lowell Summer CIT

Dates: June 20-July 28 (Weekdays only)
Hours: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Location: Upper NW DC near Rock Creek Park and Downtown Silver Spring (public transportation accessible)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $16.50 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Use of our outdoor spaces, small group sizes, enhanced cleaning protocols, and practices, help keep our campers and staff safe.
