The Logistics Specialist will support daily operations of Careington's Fulfillment Center by having excellent customer service with all departments, processing all incoming correspondence and packages, able to operate all fulfillment equipment within Careington and provide general, routine maintenance to its equipment. (This position may not include all the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in this position.)

Additionally, this position will require utilization of your personal vehicle for travel to and from the local USPS office and/or vendor/supplier (Fed-Ex, UPS, etc).

Job Duties:

  • Process all incoming correspondence and packages (USPS, Overnight and Freight Carrier deliveries)
  • Provide key operator services that include replacing stock, making minor adjustments, in accordance with equipment manufacturers operating guides, training support to users regarding postage machines, convenience copiers / printers and fax machine
  • Operates copier / printer, mailing and fax machines
  • Maintains supplies to include cleaning and repairing of machines - Provide customer service, including accepting customer request, anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives and problem solving, with a minimum amount of supervision
  • Pick up and deliver customer orders
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain current inventory levels and reporting
  • Performs quality audits, taking appropriate action steps to ensure a finished product meets departmental and customer quality specifications
  • Ability to quickly assess problem and identify the probable cause, make adjustment to equipment and / or material to result in a quality finished product
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to effectively assist team members, customers, vendors / suppliers
  • Perform multiple tasks at one time
  • Participate in departmental meetings to discuss workflow, production and service issues and provide feedback to improve the issues or processes
  • Ability to work overtime, on an as needed basis, stand for prolong amounts of time and work in a noisy environment
  • Will perform all other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good Customer Service skills
  • Valid Texas Driver's License, auto insurance and clean driving record
  • Detail oriented
  • Works cohesively in a team environment
  • Moderate computer skills
