The Role


BeaconMedaes is looking for a talented Logistics Specialist to join our growing team. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting and helping manage the logistical activities for the US organization. Be part of a global company with more than 70 years of industry experience in education, design, manufacturing, supply, and service of piped medical gas. We proudly play a vital role in hospitals around the world in sustaining patients when they are at their most vulnerable.


The role and responsibilities are focused on the following:


Customer Care Support (90%)

  • Assists customers (internal and external) via the phone. Follow-up on customer inquiries, providing

timely and effective response via phone, email and fax. It is expected that follow-up occurs within 1

business day (24-hour turnaround time).

  • Daily, act as support to the project management team and work towards cross training in order to

continuously improve (24-hour turnaround time).

  • Daily, act as liaison between the Customer Center and Product Company (24-turnaround time).
  • When written PO’s are received, create orders from written PO’s (within a 24-hour turnaround time).

Allocate equipment to orders, create PO’s for non-stocked item/equipment, Quote delivery time, quote

freight charges and process the invoices to customers.

  • Place PO’s for equipment to Airtec, Product Company Rock Hill and other vendors to fulfill

equipment orders.

  • Once containers come in, manage local inventory in our local storage locations (1 business day

turnaround time).

  • Monday through Thursday, attend daily source production meetings and communicate delays with

project management and customers.

  • When a customer requests follow-up status on a backorder, expedite the shipment of customer backorders in

the most efficient and cost-effective way possible (1 business day turnaround time).

  • Communicate daily with customers prior to production and prior to shipment on all source equipment to confirm delivery information.
  • Prepare shipping documentation as well as support the Shipping Department when requested.
  • Issue credits and RMAs as approved by project managers or supervision. Credits and RMAs are to be issued in a timely manner (1 week turnaround time)
  • Weekly, contact approved freight forwarders for air or ocean quotations.


Process Improvement & Training (10%)

  • Partner with Project Management and Service Coordination teams to identify knowledge gaps and provide

training to address these gaps.

  • Review open order dashboard and work with respected parties to reconcile issues.
  • Manage assigned KPIs regarding inventory.
  • Managed assigned logistics projects.
  • Manage logistics business key user (BKU) responsibilities and support.
  • Requires continuous OJT to learn specifications on our products and NFPA99.
  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with Atlas Copco & BeaconMedaes standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communications with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done.

What we expect of you?

Experience

  • 3 – 4 years of customer service experience with order entry and invoice processing experience I a fast-paced environment.


Education

  • High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree preferred


Skills

  • Must be a self-directed team player with a positive attitude
  • Highly service-oriented
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Must be highly customer focused with the ability to work under pressure
  • Must be able to key at a minimum of 55WPM with no errors
  • Organized; Flexible to change
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Trustworthy, honest, responsible
