Logistics Manager is responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of 3PL warehousing, transportation and distribution for North American business.

Logistics Manager

Duties/Responsibilies:
  • Manage 3PL relationships, including account management, and resolution of service challenges.
  • Manage relationships with freight carriers, arrange import/export/nationwide deliveries.
  • Support the head of the department in vendor selection and evaluation process and price negotiation.
  • Manage new vendor’s onboarding in process and procedure (including the coordination of EDI interfaces)
  • Manage inbound and outbound flows, included support internal shipping locations as needed for transportation and freight coordination back-up, training and problem resolution
  • Maintain logistics claims database and ensure claims resolution.
  • Conduct monthly scorecard reviews with 3PL operators to identify actions for improvement.
  • Maintain and report KPI’s for 3PL operations
  • Monitor and audit vendor’s billing to ensure accuracy of spend.
  • Cost control and support the annual budget management;
  • Develop transportation network to support growth within North America.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies – FDA, USDA, FSVP, customs, etc.
  • Manage departmental logistics targets/goals and reporting.
  • Manage a team of three Direct Reports.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for area of responsibility in compliance with group procedure;
  • Establish continuous improvement practices to increase logistics performance.
  • Develop logistics risks mitigation program.
  • Determine and execute proper compliance with customers labeling//loading/ shipping requirements.
  • Provide support for sales department by following up on customer transportation related questions or concerns.
  • Ad-hoc analysis as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), ERP, EDI, API and Power BI.
  • Outstanding organizational skills in both logistics planning and execution.
  • Aptitude to work in a fast-paced environment with sense of urgency, priority and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze performance, suggest and implement cost reduction initiatives across all logistics area.
  • Strong experience working with controlling reports and managing cost centers.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work in office environment (stand, sit, type, etc.)
  • Assist in warehousing with support of necessary equipment
