SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The purpose of this job is to support compliance for ASN, packaging, & inventory control at offsite locations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily liaison for 3rd Party Logistics with receiving, material planning, logistic engineers, internal material control, packaging team, production, offline, IT, finance, etc. as you will be sitting onsite at the 3PLs approximately 90% of the time with flexibility on which shifts & locations to ensure coverage to support NRV & offsites.
  • Help support ASN & Packaging Compliance issues by reporting back to Material Control, Packaging Engineers, &/or the Functional Supplier Compliance team to prevent future issues while also resolving with receiving to fix the current load on the dock(s).
  • Monitor internal and external supplier ASN execution within the Volvo Group logistic networks (MACS PROD, Message Tracker, GILM) for NRV material.
  • Ability to understand the financial impacts on both the 3PLs and NRV as different requests are made.
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis to coordinate when misses or issues occur to bring both the 3PL & NRV together to address, resolve, & prevent future issues from reoccurring.
  • Coordinating cycle counting for each offsite warehousing in coordination with internal IMC teams as well as highlighting obsolete & overstock material
  • Works with various material documents to ensure integrity in reporting system to maintain correct line balancing, warehouse, and on-hand in MACS & GILM.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy records and coordinate efforts to maintain and achieve inventory integrity goals with 3PLs by monitoring material movement, review and compare statistical data, reconcile inventory adjustment activity.
  • Create, maintain, and continuous improvement to report inventory accuracy weekly, monthly, annually using Power BI to show both the accuracy but also the root cause of error found to have warranted the adjustment.
  • Monitors production versus material daily records and coordinates corrections.
  • Communicate any schedule changes to offsite locations regarding production overtime, go home policy, short work week, offline overtime, etc.
  • Maintains understanding of programs and development of information. Communicates logic of programs to materials and production groups.
  • Support any special assignments at Managers discretion.

CORE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Intermediate level skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Excel
2. Super User knowledge of GILM, MACS, & NTRP
3. Key User knowledge of EDI Utilities, Volvo Packaging, & Labeling Requirements
4. Ability to convey information through oral and written communication
5. Ability to understand department functions and learn information flow and transactions
6. Ability to direct group situations with internal & external parties to perform analysis, problem solving, & trouble shooting

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
The minimum education and experience requirements can be met through either Path A or Path B as described in the charts below.

Path A
Education 4 year Bachelor Degree
Experience 1 year Experience in materials or inventory and process control
