SUMMARY
Missouri Walnut Group is seeking a dynamic individual to join the group as a Logistics Coordinator. This person is responsible for assisting with the import & export of materials, while also ensuring compliance according to internal policies and procedures, as well as international, federal, state and local regulations. A willingness to learn, and the ability to be a team player are two key components of the position. On-the-job training, along with other applicable training opportunities will be available. The goal is to ensure that processes and procedures are followed and completed smoothly to maximize company efficiency and profits. This position does participate in the companies monthly profit-sharing bonus, which is based off production results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Tracking loads & shipment activities, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure USDA compliance by managing all phytosanitary certifications, inspections and other requirements.
  • International Intermodal container experience desired.
  • Identify issues creating appropriate corrective action plans to achieve desirable results on time, while communicating with drivers and customers to schedule shipment activities, and to perform administrative tasks to deliver high-quality service for all parties.
  • Utilize organizational equipment and updated required information into systems complied with state, federal and international rules, procedures and regulations.
  • Assist the sales department with the creation and management of invoices, sales orders, and/or shipments.
  • Reconciliation of freight invoices.
  • Act as the primary facilitator among various Missouri Walnut Group departments, including commercial (sales and purchasing), logistics and others, regarding domestic as well as import and export strategies and issues.
  • Support full compliance and provide guidance for import/export transactions, including reviewing import/export documentation, import/export license determination, issuance and/or review of shipper’s letter of instruction, filing of electronic import/export information, and import/export record retention.
  • Manage all freight costing data, such as domestic, imports/exports.
  • Assist with any issues regarding freight forwarders, customs brokers, and others associated with shipments.
  • Handle inquiries regarding costing, classification, duty rates, documentation requirements, or other trade and customs-related questions.
  • Continued knowledge of industry relevant laws, regulations and requirements.
  • Other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of logistics experience is preferred.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and coordination abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision and track multiple processes.
  • Computer savvy with a working knowledge of programs.
  • Team player that can collaborate with others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
