We are seeking a Local Class A Truck Driver -

Must have a Class A CDL to join our team and at least 6 months experience or more! This position works day and/or night shifts, and has a floating schedule.

Schedule is as follows:

Sunday - 3:00am to 12:00 pm, Monday (OFF - unless filling in for route deliveries) Tuesday - Time varies, Wednesday - 3:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday - Time varies, Saturday - OFF. ****SCHEDULE MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE****

  • Sunday
    - Make sure all tractors and trailers are in their assigned doors, tractors are filled with DEF before route departure, fluid levels are at an optimal level, Check tractor/trailer tires before route departure, lights on all tractors and trailers, check if trailers have driver assigned handtrucks, open up any shuttle trailers, be ready to go on routes if needed.
  • Monday - OFF (unless filling in for route deliveries)
  • Tuesday - Deliver 1 - 2 backhauls (if necessary) when route drivers are not available, take tractors and/or trailers to Penske for scheduled maintenance or any issues that occurred during route delivery, move tractors and trailers to assigned doors, check reefer fuel on all trailers, take low fuel trailers to Penske to refill, assist Randy with work on minor issues with the tractors, trailers, and the warehouse, wash 2 - 3 tractor (outside) and trailer (inside and out) combos, log which tractors and trailers were washed, if route was taken on Sunday, scheduled or unscheduled - DAY OFF
  • Wednesday - Make sure all tractors and trailers are in their assigned doors, make sure all tractors are filled with DEF before route departure, make sure fluid levels are at an optimal level, check tractor/trailer tires before route departure, check lights on all tractors and trailers, make sure all trailers have driver assigned handtrucks, be ready to go on routes if needed.
  • Thursday - Assist Randy with any repairs that need to be done around the warehouse, get with the warehouse manager/supervisor and fill in if needed, wait for any late trucks that need to be unloaded, pick any backhauls needed for JDC or JDD.
  • Friday - Deliver 1 - 2 backhauls (if necessary) when route drivers are not available, take tractors and/or trailers to Penske for scheduled, maintenance or any issues that occurred during route delivery, move tractors and trailers to assigned doors, check reefer fuel on all trailers, take low fuel trailers to Penske to refill, assist Randy with work on minor issues with the tractors, trailers, and the warehouse, wash remaining tractor (outside) and trailer (inside and out) combos, log which tractors and trailers were washed, if route was taken on Wednesday, scheduled or unscheduled - DAY OFF
  • Saturday - OFF


Experience:

  • Drivers must be 21 or over
  • Have a valid Class A Drivers License.
  • Have a history of good driving during the past 6 months or more.
  • Must be able to meet all DOT requirements and remain compliant.
  • Home time daily if not running route deliveries.
