Habitat for Humanity, GTR is currently seeking to add to our ReStore team with energetic and service oriented professionals to serve as as one of our valuable team member. We believe that our drivers are more than truck drivers. They are one of the many faces that represent Habitat for Humanity when working with our donors. This position will continually refresh the ReStore’s inventory by picking up donated merchandise in Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau County as well as serve as an ambassador for Habitat and the Restore by supporting our efforts to maintain a good relationship with all donors.

Revenue generated by the ReStore provides Habitat GTR with much needed funds to assist in building homes and hope for families in our community. It also helps to keep thousands of tons of unwanted merchandise out of our landfills.

Duties:

• Pick-up and deliver donations, driving a 16 foot pickup truck.
• Train and supervise volunteer drivers and movers
• Assist in developing and adhering to criteria for donated materials.
• Assist in developing driving and Restore safety standards.
• Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Help maintain organization and cleanliness in the ReStore.
• Provide customer service inside the ReStore.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand, squat, bend and climb in and out of the truck on a regular basis.
