Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Live-Synthetic Environment System Administrator
- Install and configure Shadow Operations Center - Nellis (ShOC-N’s) Live-Synthetic Environment (LSE) software and hardware.
- Set up accounts and workstations.
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to risk management framework requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages.
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Required Skills and Experience
***Must have outstanding Interpersonal and communication skills***
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- A problem solving aptitude and a high degree of resourcefulness.
Professional Certifications
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is desired
Formal Education
Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline or at least four (4) years of relevant experience
