Description
SAIC is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to manage and enhance the Sponsor’s mission-specific operational system. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing new software releases and system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches, resolving software-related problems. The successful candidate will be able to be part of a team, but also able to work independently, have strong problem solving skills, support custom and unique solutions based on mission need, and willingness to learn new technologies as needed to address technical issues.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI and Poly required
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Linux Distros – CentOS and Ubuntu
- Familiarity with VWware product line
- Familiarity with administration of Debian and RedHat distributions with a focus in Ubuntu server/desktop
- Experience with image preparation and deployment (clonezilla, uefi, winPE)
- Experience with Cron, iptables, permissions
- Experience with OpenVPN, SELinux, NFS, CIFS
- Experience with running/updating REPOs
- Experience with basic networking and OS firewall rule implementation
- Ability to read/write/maintain Bash scripts and Python scripts
