Line Cook Job Requirements:

• Past experience working as a line cook in a full service restaurant is a preferable attribute. Inexperienced individuals may be considered, if attitude, knowledge and drive is apparent in an interview.
• A clear understanding of grilling, flat top and oven based cooking techniques. You must be able to comfortably work in and with “HOT” equipment/devices, including stoves, ovens and grills and dishwashers.
• An understanding of basic food preparation, including safe use/basic knife skills, seasoning, ingredient use and plating.
• An understanding that cleanliness is key to operating a successful kitchen. Personal hygiene and a willingness to operate in the clean, organized manner is a must.
• You must be an excellent listener and be willing to take direct instruction, positively, in a stressful, busy environment.
• You must have the ability to learn tasks and perform them accurately throughout your shift. Our teamwork method of food preparation requires you to be quick thinking, consistent and dependable.

Line Cook Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain your area of responsibility/station, including stocking and maintaining food/supplies on the line.
• Accurate portioning and preparation of food products prior to service and throughout service.
• Cooking and plating of all menu items in accordance with Peabody’s menu prep standards and local health related food safe preparation standards.
• Maintain a clean/sanitary, organized work station and environment. Keep the floors clean to avoid unwanted workplace appearance and potential safety issues.
• You must have the ability to safely lift weight when necessary. 60 LBS minimum.

• School accommodating hours of operation: We are open Sunday - Thursday until 1AM and Friday/Saturday until 2AM. (Our later schedule allows employees to work hours that result in maximum earnings, yet it still allows for a good nights rest)

What we expect from you on a daily basis:

• Arrive at work and start your shift on time. Be prepared to work hard, maintaining a smile on your face. Make sure that you are always dressed in a clean, presentable unwrinkled uniform/outfit.
• Greet your manager on duty and be a part of any pre-work meetings.
• Work positively with your co-workers and cooperate/communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Enjoy your shift, then make sure that you complete all additional closing responsibilities, before you leave.
• During work, communicate effectively, respectfully and kindly with your peers, including kitchen staff, servers and managers.

Job Type Available:

Full Time Positions (35-40 hours per week, but due to our hours of operation, you will typically work four to five days per week)

Our Hours of Operation: (You will be scheduled during these hours) We are open Monday - Thursday from 11AM - 1AM, Friday from 11AM - 2AM, Saturday from 12PM - 2AM and Sunday from 12PM to 1AM

Rate of Pay:

$15 to $17, depending on experience. Full time or part time.
